Kymoni Cooper PMHNP-BC

Kymoni is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with 10 years of

healthcare experience. She began her career as a certified nursing assistant and later became

a registered nurse gaining experience in long-term care, medical-surgical, and telemetry before

focusing on psychiatry. She has worked with patients facing a wide range of mental health

challenges, helping them navigate treatment plans, manage symptoms and develop tools for

long-term wellness.

Kymoni’s approach to mental health care is collaborative, compassionate and individualized.

Known for her calm and reassuring presence, she fosters an atmosphere of trust and safety

where patients feel heard, respected, and supported. She believes that effective care requires

understanding not only a patient’s symptoms but also their unique circumstances, experiences,

and goals.

the barriers many people face when seeking mental health support. Raised in a Caribbean

own wellness journey. This awareness allows her to approach each patient with cultural

sensitivity, empathy, and a deeper understanding of social and personal factors that influence

mental health. Through her work, Kymoni strives to create a therapeutic space where patients

can explore their experiences openly, discover what supports their emotional well-being, and

develop lasting resilience
